Russet Lederman,
Media Artist, Researcher and Writer
Russet Lederman is a Japanese photobook collector, who regularly writes about photobooks for the International Center of Photography Library’s blog. She has contributed projects and papers on media art and photobooks to numerous conferences and exhibitions in both the US and Europe, including Prix Ars Electronica, European Media Art Festival, Sonar International Festival of Advanced Music and New Media Art, and ISEA (International Symposium on Electronic Arts). Her work is in the permanent collection of the Rhizome Artbase and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Lederman taught media art theory and practice at Pratt Institute, and Parsons The New School for Design before joining the graduate faculty of the School of Visual Arts in 2001.
